The first course in a core sequence for biology majors, this course focuses on the molecular foundations of life, enzymology, metabolism, and cell ultrastructure, organization and function. Laboratory focuses on basic techniques including microscopy, micropipetting and the use of model organisms. CHEM 105 & 106 is recommended as a pre- or co-requisite.
