This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the art and science of audio mixing and recording, blending theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on experience. Students will explore the fundamentals of sound waves, acoustics, and psychoacoustics, while gaining practical skills in microphone techniques, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and signal processing. A strong emphasis is placed on real-world applications, with students actively participating in recording sessions featuring AU's diverse ensembles, including the Orchestra, Pop Ensemble, Guzheng Ensemble, and Choir.
