This course explores the internal and external factors of the horse's anatomy and physiology in a function focus. Students will learn about each of the major biological systems within the equines, diseases that can affect them, and how to manage those illnesses. Injury and advanced first aid will be covered as well. Student will also learn advanced handling techniques such as lunging the horse, applying restraints, trailer loading, etc.
