Students gain practical experience in exhibition design and practice, develop marketable skills, engage in analysis of exhibitions and network through visits to regional museums and galleries, and reflect upon exhibition practices in а seminar setting. Students will address relevant contemporary issues in museums and galleries through journaling, assignments, class presentations, and discussion. The seminar readings are not meant to be comprehensive but to reflect the contemporary moment and provide jumping-off points for discussion in this critical moment in museums and galleries' histories and futures.
