The course examines the sculptural potential of light and mixed media within the context of contemporary art. Emphasis is placed on material poetics and the tension between contrasting materials when creating artworks. Students will explore the aesthetic and conceptual potential of different light-emitting technologies light, including but not limited to neon, projection LEDs.
