College of Business students can obtain a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Equine Business Management, Finance, or Marketing. The majors in the College of Business provide options within a professional education program grounded in the liberal arts which prepares our students for post-graduation objectives ranging from immediate entry into the job market to graduate school. Alfred University’s program emphasizes leadership development and active “hands-on” learning. All students complete a Field Experience requirement in consultation with their advisor. AU’s environment provides an opportunity for leadership development with a mix of curricular and cocurricular activities which provide students with opportunities to attain distinction.
Students who complete any of the business majors and are accepted into the Master of Business Administration Program at Alfred can complete the MBA degree within one year of full-time study (31 graduate credits).
The College also offers minors in Accounting, Arts Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Equine Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Family Business, Finance, International Business, Leadership, Marketing, and Sports Management. College of Business students may minor in fields within or outside of the College of Business. The Business Pre-MBA minor is open to students outside of the College of Business and provides the foundation coursework needed to complete an MBA in one year of full-time study.

ACCT 404: Accounting Information Systems
Credits 3This course examines the design, implementation and control of accounting systems that collect, process, and report financial data using modern technologies. Students evaluate transaction cycles, internal controls, databases enterprise system, data analytics, and cybersecurity to enhance financial reporting, auditing effectiveness, and strategic managerial decision-making.
BUSI 303: Experiential Entrepreneurship Fellowship
Credits 2This credit-bearing fellowship immerses students in hands-on entrepreneurial experiences through a student-run or community-based venture. Fellows take responsibility for strategy, operations, marketing, and financial outcomes, applying problem-solving and leadership skills to create value and impact.
BUSI 486: Internship Experience
Credits 0Work experience in which the student applies theoretical knowedge in practical stituation. Each student submits a reflection outlining the experience and is responsible for obtaining a supervisor's evaluatoin of their work.
