Literature minors complete one core course, a survey of either the British or American literary tradition. They then work with a faculty advisor to choose 14-16 credits of elective coursework, for a total of 20 credits.
The English Division offers minors in English, Literature, and Writing. For students wishing to complete more than one minor offered by the English Division, each minor must have at least 12 unique credits.
All courses used to complete a minor must have grades of "C" or better and at least half of the requirements should be completed at Alfred University. The Division of English does not accept courses taken online for transfer credit after matriculation.
